• My book is linked from woocommerce to bookvault, but when I placed a test order with my credit card, the order did not automatically go to Bookvault website. I had to click on “Send order to Bookvault”. When it goes to Bookvault, it was listed as Draft order when I had enough funds to cover the printing and shipping costs. Please help!

Hi Jack, I did not have problem linking the title from Bookvault to Woocommerce. The problem was the order did not automatically go to Bookvault. I had to manually press “Send order to Bookvault”, which Bookvault said all orders should have come across to Bookvault automatically. Also, make sure you save your credit card on Bookvault website so they can automatically be charged when there is an order placed instead of being saved as “Draft order”.

Below is the latest email I received from Bookvault. Currently, I have to manually click “Resend order to Bookvault” in Woocommerce.

With WooCommerce, plugins aren’t verified so can cause various conflicts with the Bookvault plugin. We try our best to build our plugin in a way to accommodate for these, but in some cases it’s just not possible and other plugins/site settings can cause issues with the smooth functioning of our plugin.

Over the last few months our development team have provided days of free development support and in most cases, it was not an issue with our plugin, but interference from other plugins – common ones we have seen are caching plugins / strict requirements on firewalls or even site speeds. We have the plugin running on various sites with no issue, so would likely be related to one of these causes.

We are always looking to improve the compatibility of our plugin so can schedule in with our development team to look into the possibility of working out any issues between your current plugins and the Bookvault plugin, we would estimate for at least 2-3 weeks for further updates on this. In the interim, they would recommend if possible to deactivate the other plugins on your store, leaving only the WooCommerce & Bookvault plugin remaining to see if this enables the functionality

Hi Suong, thank you for the update. My problem is still linking—I do the manual ‘Resend order to Bookvault’ with the title they manually linked for me, and over the last month it’s become habit and not too laborious. However, a subsequent title remains unlinked.

Interesting clue: I will deactivate and reactivate other plug-ins to see what difference it makes. They had suggested an image caching one could have been a conflict (it was installed but unused), so I’ve deactivated and deleted that, but there’s no change. I’ll carry on with other plug-ins to experiment.

I realize they have spent days on this but then so have users … and it’s not really free for them since we do pay to get each title listed. We’re the ones who are doing it for free—and I’m happy to help them if it winds up ultimately helping others.

Thank you again for sharing this info.

Hello, Jack. Linking is not an issue for me. I added some screenshots from two links to show you. The first time I added my book from Bookvault, it automatically linked to Woocommerce, however, I noticed that I have to manually link it after I told Bookvault to remove my duplicate listing.

Woocommerce products>click “edit” the item>Under Bookvault box on the right hand side, click edit>make sure “Bookvault US” is checked, then select the correct book ISBN to link>click save at the bottom. There is a video on Bookvault that shows you how to manually link the book. I hope this helps!
