All of a sudden when I click on the Woocommerce options on the left side of the screen to see the options Orders / Coupons / Reports / Settings etc. in the main WordPress back-end – and then choose Orders / Coupons / Reports etc. the screen that follows is completely blue with options being shown in text form. Suddenly the options on the left side of the screen appear in the middle (in white) as ordinary headings with the other WordPress options appearing one underneath the other in groups with lighter and darker blue blocks separating the headings. I cannot find the coupons settings or the other options on the page either.

I am using a compatible Woocommerce theme.

Is there anything I can do to get back to how things used to be when they worked? I cannot pin point when everything suddenly changed and what might have caused this. I am using the most current Woocommerce version and my WordPress is also updated to the latest. Everything else is working fine.

If I click the back button – my screen returns to the normal back-end of WordPress and all my other options work perfectly.

It sounds like there’s a plugin or theme that’s breaking your options screens.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. A good way to do this is with a free plugin called Meks Quick Plugin Disabler, which will remember what plugins you currently have active so it’s easy to switch back.

If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

Please let us knowhow it goes!

Thanks for this valuable info! While fiddling about – I decided to try the same page using the Chrome browser. There – it worked fine! I went back to Firefox – and there – it went back to the blue screen as above. I can’t imagine it is a plugin problem – unless Firefox is having a difficulty with one of the plugins. (Do you think that could be?!) Before doing the disable routine as you mention above – can it be that it is simply Firefox acting up? If so, is there any way to deal with it – or is it just simply a case that I can no longer use Firefox when I am using the Woocommerce plugin.

    Thank you!

I wouldn’t expect the problem to be Firefox – lots of people use Firefox for their daily browser, including managing WooCommerce. It sounds like the conflict is being picked up with Firefox, though, which points to CSS.

Tried disabling using the plugin you mentioned above. Only let Woocommerce work. Still gave the blue screen. Still works fine in Chrome though. How can one find out where the problem is with the CSS as you mention?

Did you switch the theme and disable all plugins? You’ll need to do that to figure out if/where there is a conflict.

I am using the standard Woocommerce theme – designed by Woocommerce. I disabled all the plugins except for Woocommerce.

    Thanks for explaining!

Can you please clarify which one you mean? I’d like to make sure we’re talking about the same thing.

Oh – I see… there must be others. It says at the bottom “Storefront designed by Woocommerce”. I presume it’s called Storefront.

Thanks for explaining! Storefront is a good choice, both for testing and using for live sites.

If you’ve disabled all plugins except for WooCommerce and switched to the Storefront theme, and you’re still seeing the blue screen, then something else is interfering. I can’t tell without being able to see your site.

At this point, you’ll need to work with someone to look at your site. Your host may be able to help – otherwise, I recommend a developer via our WooCommerce Customizations page.

Thanks. As I say – the site works fine on all browsers. When editing it in Firefox however, it gives this blue screen (which I cannot add screenshot to show you what it is) where everything appears as text – as if the editor has gone crazy. However, when I edit it using Chrome, it does not show the blue screen.

Yes indeed, I have disabled all the plugins as you suggested adding only Woocommerce. I don’t understand it either. It is hosted via Bluehost. Maybe I will try and ask them to explain it. I’m not sure if this is their department of service though.

    Thanks again.
