I activated the WordPress permalinks. WooCommerce product categories & tags, product archive permalink work nicely, but what doesn’t work are the pages (Cart, Checkout, Customly added).

    I have tried to:

-Add /%postid%/%postname%/ as a permalink structure for wordpress pages.
-Delete the .htaccess file and regenerate it

I usually don’t confront with permalink problems with my projects, but this time, this just came out of nowhere (permalinks worked before, but after creating a new page on Pages it crashed).

    How to fix this?

Have you tried other permalink settings? And why do you want postid/postname? Isn’t that redundant? Wouldn’t category/postname be better?

Yes, all of them. category/postname works only for posts, but I need to get the pages also working, they don’t have a “Base” slug as posts have their categories.

So are you saying any permalink setting works for everything except pages you manually created?

Correct, manually created pages and woocommerce automatically created pages (cart, checkout ….) permalinks won’t work.

    Hi,

Same here …Cart, Checkout, are not working when m using permalink ..

That is strange…what about a page not related? Try create a page called test and then try navigate to it in the frontend and see if you’re still getting not found errors.

    Mhhh…

Well, it seems that its Polylang plug-in problem, i deleted it and reinstalled it and now the permalinks work.

    Sorry for wasting everyone’s time.

I’m having this problem as well. After fine tuning permalinks, the individual product pages are 404 at mysite.com/shop/individual-product here
    https://supahmarket.com

i’m using a plugin for SEO (Yoast WordPress SEO) which has some permalink settings contained within. After disabling that plugin, the pages are still 404s.

Perhaps I will try r1987’s fix?

It works like this (for me):

Settings >> Peralinks >> “Common Settings” = Post name

Settings >> Peralinks >> “Product permalink base’ = Default

Any other “Product permalink base” option cause the cart 404 error for me. I prefer “Shop base with category”.

    Does anyone have the cure?

Anyone having problems with Pretty Permalinks not working and you have WooCommerce installed, take a look at this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-woocommerce-woocommerce-pretty-permalinks?replies=19.

In my case, pretty permalinks were working only on WooCommerce archive and single-product pages and not on static wordpress pages. attempting to reach my about or contact us page would result in a 404.

In the end, I didn’t even need to do what was described there. All I did was deactivate all of my plugins (WooCommerce in particular), switch to default permalinks and back to pretty permalinks, reactivate all of my plugins and then switch permalinks to default then back to pretty a second time. Note, I did visit WooCommerce’s own permalinks settings page as mentioned in the linked thread but I didn’t change any settings.

At the time of writing, I was using WordPress 3.5.2 and WooCommerce 2.0.12 amongst others.

@bncpeter thank you so much, worked like a charm.

    @kakalardoa Glad I could help ??

    Hi
I’m having the issue that permalink is not working for the single product url , page and post section. when i try to deactivate the WooCommerce plugin then its working fine. Permalink for the product category is working fine but not for the single product.

Does anyone have any idea about this?
