On the 27th of november we had a 30% sitewide discount. We had a product listed for $3,200. And a client purchased for no reason woocommerce charged them and pass to to stripe a value of $2,200 and discounted the other 30%. This has resulted in a loss of $1,000 in just one item. The customer is expecting the item and we are at a loss because for no reason woocommerce passed on a price a $1,000 cheaper. We need a solution asap. We are at a loss. The price was $3,200 since mid of this year. We went in today and updated the price (although in the backend it always appeared as $3,200) and when we add it to the cart it is showing $3,200. However we are a small business, and rely on woocommerce as a realiable platform to sell our products and now because of the deliberate decision of woocommerce we are out $1,000 and we are scared this will keep on happening. We need a solution for this specific issue the order is Order #7565

  • Hey,

This sounds like a troublesome situation for sure!

Could you let us know how are the discounts created? Is it through the core Coupon feature or another one?

Also, can you replicate this with a core payment method instead of the one your customer used? To quickly test this, you can use something like COD or BACS.

EDIT: Is the Stripe payment gateway ours or another one?

Finally, could you share the System Status Report with us? This can be found under
WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > System Status.

    Warm regards,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
