Your concerns regarding the stability and security of a plugin are valid, especially if it hasn’t been tested with the latest major releases of WordPress. However, you can always contact the developer to find out if they’re planning an update.

Additionally, you may also try using the MasterCard Payment Gateway Services plugin developed by Mastercard. However, it wasn’t tested on WC latest, but it is worth trying.
