Recently, I believe after I upgraded WooCommerce to version 2.6.2 I noticed that discounts are not listed on the invoice. Actually the invoice looks rather strange.

Previously we had list prices, a line with discount and the final total now we have net prices (after discount!!!), a subtotal with net prices, no discount line and a line with list prices. It’s completely wrong from all point of views: fiscal, customer expectations etc.

    Please advise!

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello Marius,
To my knowledge, this has not changed. I just checked this on my own site and it still shows the discounts.
Can you check the WooCommerce emails? The totals should be exactly like what you see in the PDF!
My guess is that another plugin is doing this, filtering the prices & totals.
If the emails have the same totals, it’s most definitely something else doing this.

The totals in the free version come from WooCommerce and the fact that your line prices are altered too makes this all the more suspicious.

Let me know what you find!

    Hello Ewout,

I did some investigations and I think I can tell you how to replicate.

If you do an order from the “front end” of WooCommerce and you add a coupon code then the invoice is fine.

The problem appears when you enter an order manually from the “back end”. In this case you cannot add a coupon code so you have to alter the prices and the discount is computed automatically. In this case, even the total in WC is wrong. You have a line with discount and then the total of the order which is wrong (discount is not deducted). I can send you a screenshot if you want.

I can confirm this behavior, and as I suspected, this is the same in the WC emails. It seems like WooCommerce doesn’t handle positive discounts very well. But regular discounts (i.e. lowering the price) are shown both in the email and in the PDF invoice. The screenshot you sent me has a positive discount (higher after discount price), which you can also tell by the double ‘–‘. If you need price increases to work too, I recommend contacting WooCommerce about this.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Ewout! It was my mistake, I was adding a positive discount! With negative it works perfectly.

Again thank you for your help!
