Woocommerce pending payment

  • I’m taking over a website by a previous developer. We use paypal for woocommerce in checkout. The problem is when clicking ‘place order’ a new order should be created in “pending payment” this should show all unpaid orders. But no order is place in pending payment. Only after paying with paypal is an order created in “processing”. How do i solve this? We need to keep unpaid customers details. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Depends 100% on the gateway. Usually, if payment is off-site, pending order will be made. If the payment is direct, there is no need to create a pending order since it can be created + paid in one action.

    paypal is off site, so a pending order should be made.

    Is there a plugin to save unpaid customers.

    PayPal standard is and orders are created. But other PayPal based gateways may not work this way.
