    Hey there

I’ve recently switched to the performant storage of woocommerce orders with hpos and haven’t had any issues with it, I was wondering however if I can now go on and delete all the existing orders from our store from the old tables and how I could do that safely, since it would now have tons of basically duplicates that really impact the size of our database negatively since we have thousands of orders. A lot of data is used for data related to woocommerce orders and _post?and?_postmeta are now holding a lot of unneeded data, or am I missing something?

    Any help appreciated here, cheers

    Hi @mischamorf,

We’re happy to learn you’re enjoying the benefits of our new HPOS. You can start by disabling the synchronization feature, so only the HPOS tables are used from now on; if you’re 100% sure you’re good to go with HPOS, you can clear the order data from the classic storage.

To do this, you can go to your WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Clean up order data from legacy tables. This was implemented in WooCommerce 8.7! ?? Kindly let us know if you have any issues with it.

Of course, we recommend you take a full backup of your site and database before doing this.

    Cheers!
