• I had the Woocommerce plug-in installed and it appeared to be functional a month ago – the site is not active yet – when authoring the site and setting up the storefront. Then, a couple weeks ago when I got back on task after some business travel, observed that there were numerous plug-in updates available. As in the past, I selected “Update All” (I think that’s it) and they all updated – EXCEPT Woocommerce which bounced back the following error message, as seen below. I’ve tried reinstalling it several times, updated all the other plug-ins again, even Flushed the Cache, but still get the same message. I can’t find the destination folder to delete it and can’t understand why its the only plug-in that’s on the fritz. Please advise. Thank you. I’m not a very experienced WP user yet.

    Downloading install package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/woocommerce.2.3.7.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas01_data03/58/2198258/html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/

  • i have the same issue..
    can anyone help??

Same here – just updated the plugins/extensions which resulted in the woocommerce plugin being disabled due to missing file. When I try to reinstall I get the same issue as the original poster here – already exists.
Any help on how to proceed is appreciated.

Had the same issue for myself. Dont know if its the right solution but I went into the FTP and simply renamed the old directory for woocommerce to “woocommerce-old”.

Then I tried again to install the plugin and it worked. I haven’t launched the website yet but I think that everything is still there since its stored in the db.

Hopefully any skilled yoda can tell you the exact and correct solution but this worked for me.
