    Hello,

Basically, when i don’t have inserted my postal code into the fieldbox, it appears the following error: “A shipping method has not been selected. Please confirm your address, or contact us if you need help.”

After that, i add the postal code, my page does refresh and continues appearing the message above as i said. If i press checkout button, this message disapperar.

I’m using flexible shipping version free to set the weights of my WooCommerce. Can be some problem related to flexible shipping plugin?

I recorded a small video with my issue: https://gyazo.com/0257adcd8468e102e7b91d92ed10125a

Please help me to fix this issue.
    Best Regards.

Can someone help me with this issue? I have already tried various approaches to fix it, but so far, i have been unable to find a solution.

    Hi @costasergio ,

Thanks for reaching out, and apologies for the delay. We have seen a recent influx of support requests and are currently working through a backlog.

I have gone to your site and I am unable to replicate the issue as the error A shipping method has not been selected. Please confirm your address, or contact us if you need help is not being displayed once entering the postal code:

Have you managed to resolve this since creating this thread, or are you seeing something different on your end?

If this is not being displayed on your end, please can you try clearing your browser cache, or otherwise view your site in private/incognito mode, and see if this makes any difference, as this could be the cause of caching.

    Cheers!

I have attempted various methods to fix this issue, but unfortunately and i haven’t been able to find a solution. I have also tried cleaning the cache and using private/incognito mode, but that hasn’t worked either.

Try to replicate the test, please refer to this video:
    https://gyazo.com/0257adcd8468e102e7b91d92ed10125a

You can use this postal code: 1600-809

As you can verify in this screenshot, i entered the postal code, but the message still doesn’t disappear:

When I click the checkout button a second time, the message disappears.

    Hello @costasergio,

Thank you so much for the report!

I was able to replicate the issue and have opened a report for the developers to review at https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/39481.

We don’t have an exact timeline for when the team will investigate or resolve the issue, as bug reports are prioritized based on a few criteria. I suggest you subscribe to the report to receive updates.

As a workaround, you can use a quotation mark instead of a '. :?)

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I’m a little confused. Is that related to the Postal Code?

When I opened this link: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/39481

It appears to be a coupon code issue.

    Hello once more,

Some time has passed since I submitted my report. I’ve received feedback from a few clients who are unable to make purchases due to an issue with the postal code.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Apologies for the confusion here.
It appears that my colleague was indeed referring to a separate report.

I tried replicating the issue you describe above on my staging site and could not do so.

If I exclude the post code I get the error as you describe, however when I add the post code there is an AJAX call that refreshes the shipping rates which are returned correctly.

This leads me to suspect that this is an issue caused by something on your site, most likely a conflict, so I suggest that you try the following test.

    Conflict test

You can read more about plugin and theme conflicts here:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to do the following:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme back to the Storefront (https://www.woocommerce.com/storefront/) or TwentyNineteen (https://www.ads-software.com/themes/twentynineteen/) Theme.
    2. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and a simple flat rate shipping method.
    3. Test to see if the issue has been resolved.

If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

If doing this on your live site is not possible, can you create a duplicate site? We suggest using WP Staging (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/) if your hosting provider does not offer a staging server as an option.

I hope that helps you to figure it out.
Feel free to get back to us if you have further questions.

    Hi @costasergio

Thank you for opening a support ticket at WooCommerce. We can continue this thread there, as we still cannot get the error to show for us.
