We have set the entire website to be open to all users.
We then set the “Enable the “Content Restriction” settings for taxonomies” for “Category (product_cat)” to selected.
We then went and edited the Product Category and checked “Restrict access to this term and its posts?”
and set “Who can access this term and its posts?” to “Logged in users”.
When we go to view this page, all it will do is display a 404 page. No other options work.
Display a custom message or redirect will not work, everything we set the page just displays the 404 message.
If we do the same for a page, the options all work as expected. Only taxonomies are not working.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Simon

    Hi @talenalexander

I tried the steps that I’ve provided and didn’t encounter the issue. Does this issue occur when leaving UM and Woocommerce as the only active plugins?

We have changed the theme to the default twenty twenty-two theme.
We have disabled all the plugins on the site down to just three.

Ultimate Member Version 2.3.1 by Ultimate Member | Auto-updates disabled
WooCommerce Version 6.2.0 by Automattic | Auto-updates disabled
WP Mail SMTP Pro Version 2.6.0 by WPForms | Auto-updates disabled

Still we are just getting the 404 error instead of a custom message or redirection to the login page.

    Any other thoughts?

    Hi @talenalexander

Do you have a server-side caching module? If so, could you please try disabling and see if this is causing the issue?
