WooCommerce product export function doesn’t work

I understand that there were no products exported on your site.

This is quite strange as I am unable to reproduce the issue on my end. Below is the sample of the exported CSV file of my products:

Kindly be informed that only published products will be exported.

I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Have you tried opening the file using Google Sheets or another .csv reader?

If it’s still blank, then please disable all plugins and switch to the Storefront theme then try exporting.

If you’re not comfortable doing all of this on the live version of your site, you can create a staging environment using WP-STAGING.

Yes, I have tried opening the .csv from google sheets and the result is same as above attached screenshot.

Also yes, I have tried disabling all plugins except WooCommerce switching to the default theme and tried exporting the .csv as well, and the result was the same.

That is certainly odd. Could you clarify if an empty .XML file is exported, if the option under Tools > Export, is selected, in the WordPress backend, please?

Furthermore, feel free to try exporting using a plugin, like this one.

I tried exporting a .XML file and it gets exported with content. But still .CSV gets imported as a blank just with table headings.

Also, the plugin you mentioned doesn’t work with variation products, the site I’m referring to has a majority of variation products.

My suggestion would be to make sure the site’s PHP time limit is set to at least 300, PHP Post Max is at least 1000 and the WP Memory limit is 256 MB or more.

After completing the adjustments mentioned above, feel free to try exporting the products again, following the steps outlined in the official documentation, linked here.

I have increased the PHP time limit to 300, and the WP memory limit to 2GB. With those changes results were the same. Couldn’t export the products.

I have contacted the server to increase the PHP post max size and will get back to you with the results once it’s done. Currently, the PHP post max size of the server is 8MB

Meanwhile, this could be due to caching, as the System Status Report shows a lot of caching activity. Can you please have your host purge the cache from the following plugins and disable it temporarily? Then, try to export products once more.

I disabled the caching plugin (W3 Total Cache) and tried exporting products already. The result is the same.
Will update you once the PHP post max size is updated.

Updated configurations are below,

• PHP time limit -> 300
• WP memory limit -> 2GB
• PHP post max size -> 100MB

And the result is still same. Couldn’t export the products. What’s getting downloaded is 566b size .csv files which only has table headings as I shared earlier.

I kept trying various plugins because I was not able to get products exported with WooCommerce inbuilt functions. And luckily I found the below plugin named CSV Product Import Export for WooCommerce on the WordPress plugin page (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/csv-wc-product-import-export/) And it was able to get my products exported into an excel sheet. Sharing this for everyone’s reference.
