woocommerce product filtering hiding

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns about the filter behavior on your WooCommerce shop page.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is by running a conflict test.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

Hi, thank you for reply Im using basic Twenty Twenty-Four template and I have only woocommerce plugin. I tried Storefront with same outcome. if I hit f5 filters sometimes load sometime only some etc.. (https://feel4prints.cz/?post_type=product)

Looking at your system status report, I could notice a drop-in cache plugin from your host. It is possible this is the cause why you have to refresh your store when making a search.

Are you able to reach out to your host and ask them to help clear any cache from their end and let us know if this makes a difference?

I change it its was redis cache right, since disable I wasnt abble to see material filter…

Looking at your new system status report(SSR) I could notice that you have your filter plugin disabled – this is a possible reason why you’re unable to see the material filter.

I recommend enabling the filter plugin to test if you’re able to filter your materials without having to refresh the page for it to display.

I tried to replicate this issue on your site, as well as on my testing site, using the Filter by attribute block. However, everything appears to be working perfectly. I conducted these tests across a variety of browsers, including Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Arc.

For better assistance, can you provide a video showing the issue on your end? For video, you may use https://loom.com or https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/. Please follow the instructions on that page and then paste the URL into this thread.

Additionally, did you filter both price and attributes together? Can you share the steps to reproduce the error too?

In the meantime, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

• WooCommerce transients – Clear
• Expired transients – Clear
• Clear template cache – Clear
• Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
• Clear customer sessions -Clear
• Product lookup tables – Regenerate
• Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

Next, please clear your browser cache and then check again again.

Today again, I spent nearly an hour debugging and managed to reproduce the error exclusively on Chrome. Interestingly, this only occurs once I accept the cookies. I also noticed an error in the browser console, which is “DOMException: Failed to execute ‘removeChild’ on ‘Node’: The node to be removed is not a child of this node.”

Both scenarios suggest a conflict issue. The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Disable cookies consent
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Just to let you know, this issue occurs exclusively on Chrome. On other browsers such as Firefox, Safari, and Opera, everything works perfectly fine.

If you are not comfortable with performing conflict tests on the live site, I suggest you create a staging site.

Some web hosts offer staging site features.
You should ask your host about this.
Otherwise, you can use the WP Staging plugin to create one.
