WooCommerce product import is slow, how to speed it up?

I wish to import 1,000,000 products into WordPress (Products are in the CSV file)

This is a large amount of products to upload so the upload time will generally take longer however, just to make sure please clarify if you are using the core WooCommerce CSV import function?

Have you checked the formatting matches what’s expected: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Product-CSV-Import-Schema#csv-columns-and-formatting?

What’s the CSV import maximum size value? To see this, please navigate to the product import page: https://snipboard.io/p75Ryb.jpg. As a workaround, you can split the CSV into multiple parts to upload separately.

Finally, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

Importing 1,000,000 products is certainly going to take a lot of time. We recommend dividing the CSV into smaller sets of products to keep things manageable.

Can I have your email address and send you the csv file?

The issue at hand is about the speed of the import so there is no point in sharing the CSV. If you face trouble with importing smaller sets of data, then for sharing the CSV you can use file.io/Dropbox/Google Drive or any online file-sharing service, and share the link here. There is not a standard way to speed this up, on the background WooCommerce is checking for duplicates, while items are imported, it is checking against the pre-existing ones, that will need time to process.

However, there is a suggestion that might help you out:
