WooCommerce Products and PDA Gold/Yoast SEO

Hello, I am selling a product via WooCommerce. Customers do not need to log in to my site and therefore purchase this product as a “guest”. Customers are delivered this product (a Word file) by e-mail after purchase, from where they can then download the product. I do not need to limit downloads by IP address, and WooCommerce already has built in functionality to limit the number of downloads and/or to provide an expiration.
Under these circumstances, PDA seems to still recommend using private download links to protect these files from indexing and appearing in search results. However, I use the Yoast SEO plugin and that also seems to allow for protecting products from indexing and appearing in search results.

So my question is, what benefit does PDA Gold really offer me given what I’m trying to accomplish? I fear that I’ve purchased PDA Gold unnecessarily.
