Woocommerce products changing to hidden

I am using Woocommerce and the theme Mantra. When I add or edit simple products, the Catalog Visibility changes to Hidden when I update. The only way I can then change it to Catalog/Search is to then go into Quick Edit. It is really annoying. Oddly enough, for variable products this does not happen, only with the simple products. Any help appreciated.
