Woocommerce products or product categories still in the shop

    Hi,

    I was trying to achieve the following:
    Part of the products in my shop are in a separate category for wholesalers only so i restricted this category to certain users. I also tried all the individual products instead of the category.

    It works in that way, that as soon as user who is not in that group tries to open the product he is redirected. But on the Woocommerce Shop Page with all products the restricted products still show up! I’d like those products to be hidden

    Unfortunately items on archive pages/blog and the navigation menu items are not restricted.

    I have been working on implementing an efficient solution for this, and I have something working, but it comes with a few limitations:
    1. If you have used “negated” conditions, it will not work properly
    2. It hides items everywhere (archive, rss, even custom lists in widgets), except items in navigation menus

    If you are OK with this, let me know and I can send you the code.

    i am building a site where i need to restrict category & tag content from my woocommerce by user roles. this is now working, however, the user still sees all of the categories on the page. i need a way to hide the categories that they are not permitted to see. it sounds like your code my suite my needs in this case??

    I think the code I have did not work for categories, only if you selected specific posts/pages, but I will find it and paste it here so you can see if it fits your needs.

    Note that since my last reply, it is now possible to hide menu items for levels. And it is on the roadmap to hide items in search results, archives and custom lists.
