WooCommerce – Refund Email to Customer

Hi there,

If I issue the refund with Square, at what point is the email generated to the customer that their order has been refunded?

You need to issue the refund from WooCommerce in order for WooCommerce to pick up on it. Triggering the refund from Square will not sent an email from Square or WooCommerce.

Customers will not receive a notification regarding their Square refund unless the refund is manually resent.

Even if I’m issuing the refund through the WooCommerce Admin?

When you refund from your WooCommerce Orders page, the refund should be sent out automatically as soon as the refund is completed.
If not, please check that the Refunded Order email is enabled under WooCommerce ? Settings ? emails.
