Our website has a number of products split into categories based on clubs or schools. Each school might have the same product (for example, a sports jersey) but with different decorations. These are put in as entirely different products.

I’m looking for a good way to create reports of how much a particular product sells (or didn’t sell), but as it is, they’re definitely different products in WooCommerce even if they’re the same original jersey. Each item will have an id.. something like a school code and then the code for the shirt from the manufacturer, like NV_1234. Is there a way to perhaps generate reports for any item with 1234 in it’s product code?

    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

To handle this, I’d recommend using a CSV export – then you’ll be able to track down the different products based on their titles / SKU using a spreadsheet application, and generate this kind of report. The WooCommerce reporting UI isn’t able to handle that level of complexity.

Here’s a good plugin for the export:

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
