WooCommerce Sale Badge is missing

  • Running WooCommerce 2.5.2 with StoreFront theme.

    My products that are “on sale” are not showing a badge over the image.
    I’ve been hunting around for a solution and although I’ve found plenty of “how do I remove that sale badge/bubble?” conversations, I haven’t found anyone with this problem.

    I’m pretty sure that it’s a standard thing in woocommerce to have a badge show up over your image if it’s listed with a sale price but all I get is a text box within the description. Certainly not very enticing. I can’t find any documentation in storefront about it either.

    I’d like to solve this without installing another extension.
