woocommerce search

Hi guys, having trouble with the search widget on the woocommerce plugin, everything else seems to work so far. Is there an alternative or a simple fix for this ? I did search but vague responses came up with no real solution and also the thread is 713 pages long :/ Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.
