I cannot get WooCommerce Services USPS rates to be returned. On the shipping page, I get the error “There are No Shipping Methods available”. This is after I enter my town, state and zip code. Also, in the Status page, under the WooCommerce Services tab, there is the error message under all my Shipping Zone options “No rate requests have yet to be made for this service”. This is after I have attempted to make a request and have gotten the no shipping methods available error message. (I have screen shots of everything, just didn’t know how to add them) Additionally, my logs have an error message (although it does not correspond to the times I’ve attempted to update my cart with shipping rates): Service settings empty. Skipping wc_services_usps rate request (instance id 19). (calculate_shipping). I’m not sure what service settings are empty.

I have scoured the other questions and answers on this page regarding this problem, and I have made sure that all my products have both weights, and dimensions, including every variation. But none of that is getting this plug-in working. What step am I missing?

Since I can’t get this working, I had to use another USPS rate plugin to return all rates for my customer (which is working), however she would like to use the WooCommerce Services version because she wants the ability to use the label printing feature too.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

  • Hi @ferretwoman,

Sorry to hear about the trouble and happy to help!

Would you please confirm that you selected the services to ship the products as shown in the guide below (Live Shipping Rates / paragraph 4):

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-4

Thank you and looking forward to your reply!

Yes, I followed those steps exactly, even deleted the USPS (WooCommerce Services) option and re-added it and re-selected all options again. It is enabled. It shows “USPS Shipping Rates, Powered by WooCommerce Services” under the name. I have First Class and Priority shipping rates selected.

    Thank you for your reply!

Hi @ferretwoman, thanks for confirming on the services. What about packages? Do you have them set as well? Both inner and outer dimensions? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-5

I had the package size and weight set up in the products themselves, not realizing I had to also set them up in this plug in. After a little trial and error, I finally got the domestic to properly work and shows that rates were successfully pulled.

One problem, and maybe I’m missing a check box or something, but it’s not pulling up rates for shipping if there is a PO Box as the mailing address. As someone who does not have mail delivery to their home, the PO Box is our only mailing address, including for packages. But if I use my PO Box as my mailing address in this tool, it says there are no shipping options available. How can I get around that?

    Thanks!

    Awesome, glad to hear that!

WooCommerce Services should work with PO Box addresses. Would you please try to see if you get any rates to your PO Box address using the same shipping details as on your site here (use the same shop origin, package size, and shipping address):

Thanks for the reply. The link you sent me to only requires zip code to zip code and weight to return options. Putting that information in to match my site does send back the same postage amount. However, in my site, if I have my PO Box as my shipping address in my saved addresses, I still get the error about not returning any shipping options. If I instead put my physical address as my first line of address, and either don’t put my PO Box at all, or put my PO Box as my 2nd line of address, it will then return the proper amount of postage. Which makes me think it doesn’t like PO Boxes as your main shipping address.

    Thanks.

I am having a similar issue as (ferretwoman), I can not get Woocommerce Services to work. Last week it seemed to work just fine. I had the taxes and shipping working to I just worked on adding products and product details. I was ready to go live but I wanted to check everything one more time and now the taxes and shipping will not show up. I have used the advice from above but it has not fixed the issue. Please advise on any information I can try before I have to spend money on a different plugin. Thank you.

Ack! I have this same issue.

Getting a result for no shipping methods when shipping to european countries that I have enabled, but they work domestically?
