The WooCommerce settings page seems to be completely missing on our WordPress Multisite installation. None of the subsites can access the settings page to customize the setup for each store.

Normally, on a regular installation we would access
    ../wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings

When trying to access this url directly for the main site and the subsites it gives the following error:
“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

The WooCommerce admin menu is also abbreviated and just has the following 4 links:
    Dashboard, Orders, Customers, Reports

Did we miss something in the setup? We tried re-running the setup wizard but that doesn’t give access to many of the settings that are required.

WooCommerce is not activated at the network level. Each subsite has WooCommerce activated individually.

    Hi there,

Just to make sure – Is the admin menu showing up when network activating WooCommerce, even if it’s just as a test? Do you have any custom coding added to the site which is hiding the new WooCommerce Admin interface? Are you sure that the logged-in user is an admin or shop manager?

I figured out what the issue was. I was logged in as a super-admin and in that case, the WooCommerce settings don’t show up. When I logged in as a user with regular admin (or shop manager) and not super-admin privileges, then the Settings, Status and Extensions pages were all there.

Strange behaviour that doesn’t appear to be documented anywhere. A super-admin can’t really manage all of the WooCommerce settings, which means that it’s not really a super-admin role (or this is a bug).
