    HI

I have setup Shipping Zones for various postcodes for my client’s new website.

So there is approx 50 postcodes with different zones for different pricing.

    All works well.

Except it is NOT picking up the “Local Pickup ONLY” in case the client would PREFER to pickup.

It doesn’t come up as an Option in the Customer side when testing.

It automatically picks up the Postcode for client when registering in Checkout and NO option for Local Pickup …

Even though it is in my Shipping Zones section …

What have I missed ? Frustrated as I can’t think what I have missed accidentally ?

    THanks
    Kristin

    Hi there,

Would you mind taking a screenshot of how you shipping zones are configured? Also bear in mind that in order for Local Pickup to show up, it would need to be added to each of your shipping zones ??

    Hi

That makes sense. That should work. So for each of my $60 Delivery Fee and $40 delivery fee and $80 delivery fee, I have to have a Local Shipping Option in there for every single one of them ???

    OK

Will get started and let you know.

    Thanks

    HI

I did this for each. Now it defaults to Local Pickup and on Cart it says to “Calculate Shipping” with Postcode, so I enter that in and shows nothing ….and when I get to Checkout still defaults to Local Pickup and doesn’t automatically pickup the Delivery Fee at all now.

    Strange
    Not sure what now .

    Thx

Fixed it, I had an additional separate “Local Pickup” at the same level as all the Different Delivery Fees in Shipping Zone, therefore this was over-riding all the other Delivery Fees in the Shipping Zone.

So I learnt NOT to put it there at all, and only in the Individual Shipping Zones Delivery Fees area separately.

    Thanks

    HI

I have run into another question/issue with this Shipping technique.

As I have added in quite a number of postcodes and set for certain Shipping fees then system picks up the postcode and sets the designated Shipping fee which all seems to work great.

I see that the Postcodes do not directly link to the Suburb in the Checkout.
So if a client enters in a different postcode from the Suburb, then shipping would be INCORRECT due to Postcode based …

Is there a way shipping can be calculated on Postcode (which I have already done) and that the system will know whether the Postcode doesn’t match the suburb at all ?

    Is there a workaround ?

As the client has asked what if their customer enters in another postcode just to get shipping cheaper that could happen.

Any ideas to get around this issue ?

I assume there is a way for me to do this properly ?
Urgent help if someone has any ideas ….

    Thanks
    Kristin
