    Hello!

I’m setting up a grocery/delivery website with woocommerce. We only deliver within one city, through its many districts using bikes. We do not have zipcode and we cannot apply a unique flat rate fee for all disctricts. So we decided to go with fees based on distances. What we want to achieve is something like this:

City (the main and unique deliver zone)
    |__ Area 1: district 03, district 06, district 09, district 10, district 13 (XX fees)
    |__ Area 2: district 01, district 02, district 04, district 07, district 15 (YY fees)
    |__ Area 3: district 11, district 12, district 05, district 08, district 14 (ZZ fees)

So when calculating the delivery fees on checkout, it’s the district list who appears in the dropdown and not the country/Region/Zipcode. Is there a way to achieve this?

    Kind regards,

    Manalina

    Hello there,
You could use our Distance Rate Shipping for this, specifying the distance (or ranges) you want to charge for a specific fee: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-distance-rate-shipping/

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

I checked the plugin’s page and documentation to see if this really fits my needs before buying. So, this doesn’t do exactly what I had in mind but instead calculates the distance using Google matrix APi, based on the adress the customer has given, right?

    Hi again,

That’s correct! The Distance Rate Shipping extension uses both the Google Distance Matrix API and Google Maps Embed API to calculate shipping rates.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
