    Hi all,

This is the first time I am setting up Woocommerce and Shipstation and I can’t get any orders exported.

    Setup
1, I’ve installed and activated by Shipstation for Woocommerce plugin.
2, Auth key and connection established in Shipstation.
3, Export Order Statuses are configured as standard oulined in documentation.

    Occurence
1, I make a test order and it populates in Woocommerce as expected with a new order. Order notes show:
    – IPN Payment completed
    – Stock Level reduction information
    – Order status changed from Pending payment to Processing.

At this point I would expect to see another order note of “Order has been exported to Shipstation” (according to documentation) but I am not. There are no new orders importing into Shipstation and I am expecting them to automatically export from Woocommerce at this stage.

If I try and manually ‘Update all stores’ from Shipstation, this does not import also and there are no orders appearing also.

Even though I have 3 orders sitting in Woocommerce my Woocommerce-Shipstation logs are showing none have been exported:

    08-26-2020 @ 03:32:15 – Input params: auth_key=%2A%2A%2A&wc-api=wc_shipstation&action=export&start_date=08%2F25%2F2020+14%3A32&end_date=08%2F26%2F2020+20%3A32&page=1
    08-26-2020 @ 03:32:15 – Exported 0 orders
    08-26-2020 @ 06:38:35 – Input params: auth_key=%2A%2A%2A&wc-api=wc_shipstation&action=export&start_date=08%2F25%2F2020+20%3A32&end_date=08%2F26%2F2020+23%3A38&page=1
    08-26-2020 @ 06:38:35 – Exported 0 orders
    08-26-2020 @ 09:58:18 – Input params: auth_key=%2A%2A%2A&wc-api=wc_shipstation&action=export&start_date=08%2F26%2F2020+09%3A53&end_date=08%2F26%2F2020+09%3A58&page=1
    08-26-2020 @ 09:58:18 – Exported 0 orders

At this stage I don’t know if I missing something very obvious or I don’t understand the process. Can someone please clarify.

    Many thanks

    Hi @pritpalsoor ,

Can you make sure that the proper statuses are set under WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > ShipStation > Export Order Statuses…? (We recommend sending only orders that have been paid for, those being: Processing, Completed, and possibly On-Hold/Cancelled.

    ShipStation Settings
    Link to image: https://docs.woocommerce.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/shipstation.png

If so, and orders are still not exported, check the Enable Logging checkbox on that same page. This will create logs that you can check at: WooCommerce > System Status > Logs. In the logs dropdown find the appropriate ShipStation log files. Also check if there are any fatal error logs in that list with errors that happen around the time of the order.

Let us know what you find!

    Hi Mike S,

    Thanks for the reply.

I can confirm that my WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > ShipStation > Export Order Statuses are set as per your screen shot.

I have Enable Logging checked in WooCommerce > System Status > Logs. I can’t see anything that appears to be a fatal error. Here is a copy and paste of today’s log:

As I said I have 3 test orders in a ‘processing’ status in WooCommerce > Orders. Even when I have manually changed the state to hold and back, I do not get any orders exporting to Shipstation.

Let me know what you think.

    Hi @pritpalsoor ,

It’s odd that it’s not selecting those orders to be sent. Caching plugins providing file minification can generate this kind of issue. If you have any of those installed? If so, disable file minification and try to import orders again. You can also check the data that your site is providing ShipStation using a link formatted like this:

    https://yoursite.com/?wc-api=wc_shipstation&auth_key=YOUR_AUTH_KEY&action=export&start_date=08/01/2020%2000:05&end_date=08/01/2020%2021:00

(Replace the bold text with the appropriate information for your site.)

You mentioned not seeing anything that looks like a fatal error. Those are actually logged separately. If there’s any log files with the filename containing fatal-error, they would be contained in that file.

    Let us know what find.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. I’m new to it but is the only way to check minification possibilities on plugins to go through the settings of each one by one and manually?

I found the fatal error log, do you se anything relevant in it?

I too am suddenly having this problem. Mike S. can you help me?
I have auto-complete orders plug-in because we have ebok and hard copy book bundles we sell, and auto-complete gives immediate access to the ebook when customers buy them.

Orders were exporting to shipstation (into shipped status which is another problem altogether I was working with ships station on), and now, today, we received an order and the order was never exported to ship station.

I checked on the order itself, it was not exported at all. Previous orders show that those were.

    Here is the log:

Just to report my issue seems to have resolved itseld and orders are now exporting into shipstation automatically.

It correlates with me setting up Stripe as a payment option. It was orginally failing with paypal account settings.

As way of a test I deactivated Stripe as a payment option in the woocommerce settings and made payment again by Paypal. This time around that payment method is now also working.

I hope that helps someone, but I am left scratching my head to be honest…

lucky you :-). My orders are still not exporting!

Can someone give some guidance on this?

    @pritpalsoor ,

That’s great to hear! I’m going to go ahead and mark this as resolved.

    @acuvids ,

We normally ask that each issue be put into a new thread, since each issue may be unique. You may want to check for any optimization plugins that are minifying JavaScript as well, though.

By minification, I don’t mean plugins that have their own code minified. Some plugins minify all the JavaScript and CSS on a site, and that can sometimes break JavaScript code.

One known culprit is W3 Total Cache, and we’ve got a page about the settings for that here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-caching-plugins/#section-2

If you have a similar extension, you may want to check your, as well.
