Any idea what’s happening here? I’m using WooCommerce-enabled Studiopress template. It was all super-easy to set up… and then I clicked to view the shop and got this weird message about needing to install Zencart.

There are NO Zencart plugins on the website.
All the actual product pages are working fine.

(Side note: I’m going to sort out the SSL certificate)

Any help appreciated! My first thought was it is a phishing page and we’ve been hacked? I’ve asked the hosting tech support for help but they are unlikely to respond on the weekend.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

That’s quite peculiar. Have a look at this page below, and see which page is designated as your “Shop” page (WP Admin ? WooCommerce ? Settings ? Products ? General):
    https://www.alexmilway.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=products

Presumably this is the page currently located at the URL you gave above. Then head to WP Admin ? Pages ? All Pages, find that page, click edit and check to make sure it’s free of shortcodes.

If it is, then there might be a template overriding the Shop page in your theme (or maybe a plugin). You can test this by using this plugin to help you conflict test:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

When you active that plugin, you’ll see the “Troubleshooting” link. When clicked it deactivates all your plugins, and swaps out your theme for TwentyTwenty (if the theme is present on your site). This happens for your eyes only, visitors can’t see this happening.

You can then reactivate WooCommerce (and switch to another theme if TwentyTwenty wasn’t activated), and check your Shop page again. If your shop page works, it will indicate that either your theme, or one of the other now-deactivated plugins was involved. By reactivating them one-by-one and testing after each, you can pinpoint the culprit, and deal with it accordingly.

Let us know how it goes, and if you need more help.
