    I’ve scoured the internet today trying to get an answer. I can’t figure out why my Woocommerce Shop Page has a black background. It came out of nowhere. I’ve tried to “manually” change the background to white and it won’t switch! Also, the product is over to the extreme left. I only have one product. I tried using the default and full width templates and it stays over to the left.

    I’m still stumped….I’ve been searching diligently for an answer! What I’ve figured out is that the background is taking the background of the footer on just the shop page, its white on the cart and checkout page which is perfect. I saw someone suggested this CSS in another forum about the container being shoved to the left margin:

    div#container {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 990px;
    padding: 60px 0;
    position: relative;
    width: 100%;
    }

    It moved the container from the left, but now its at the top margin. Grrrrr. I still have the black background; can’t see anything on that page except the image, all the words are unreadable in the black.

    Hello,

    Can you give us a link to your website so that we can take a look?

    Best regards,

    Hi Alexandra,

    The site is down until these issues are fixed so I can’t provide a link and I don’t see anywhere to attach an image. What it looks like is the background color of the footer on the homepage is taking over the entire shop page. However, it doesn’t look like that on the cart and checkout pages where there is a white background with the black background of the footer at the bottom of those pages.

    Hi,

    It won’t be possible for us to investigate the issue unless see see that page live. :/

    Regards,
    Hardeep

    Are you using any CSS-minify plugins? ??

    I’m not using any minify plugins. I’ve been searching for weeks on how to fix it, I ended up removing the footer (which was black) so that the whole page is now white.

    I’m glad you found a solution. You can post it here or on our website if when you make your website up so we could investigate this issue. ??

    That happened over a month ago. I removed the footer on the one page, but now something has happened to the whole front page because of it, the footer no longer stretches 100% across the bottom. I ended up filling out a different ticket for that yesterday and I gave you the link in a private reply on another thread. Thank you Hardeep.
