    Hello,
    I’m new to woocommerce and so far i think i was fine.
    I originally wanted to list my products by categories using the nested layout plugin but that didn’t look very attractive.
    So i decided to have all my product on the shop page with a sidebar for clients to select the category they want to narrow their search to, as done in this site https://thebookcoverdesigner.com/shop/

    How do i add woocommerce products categories to the sidebar?
    Ive tried woosidebar, woocommerce nested category layout, jetpack widget visibility.
    I even temporarily changed the background image as i thought maybe the widget was there but was blended into the white bg.

    Here’s my shop page https://aochikabooks.com/shop/

    I saw it was appearing everywhere. Thats good. Now you can use https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/widget-logic/ on the widget itself.

    is_shop()

    ^ thats a suitable conditional.

    I went to your site a little while ago, before you added widget logic, nad https://aochikabooks.com/shop/ had a sidebar. Unless I’m going crazy…

    I’m not sure anymore. Maybe you should ask the theme author which sidebar to use, if this is a WooCommerce theme.

    Once you’ve got the widget working there and everywhere else, widget logic can be used ot hide in only certain places.

    Really, lemme undo it and try on a different browser or something.

    I might have clicked on the other link in your OP…

    anyhow. The theme does say “WooCommerce compatible”, so the author might be able to tell you why the sidebar is not working on post type archives.

    I tried live previewing some themes to see if the problem really was with the theme And sadly it is. With every other theme, the sidebar showed in the shop page as well as other pages (is_shop() didn’t work on some themes). But I figured if i use woosidebar to limit it to just the shop page it might work.

    Thanks for the help though.
