    Hi,

I have created a ticket earlier for slow checkout processing with WooCommerce Square plugin.
    Thread Link: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/slow-woocommerce-checkout-with-square-payment-credit-card

When I am using WooCommerce and Square plugin on my website then on checkout when I try to place the order then it takes 12 to 15 seconds to load. Just to confirm time I am calculating starts when i click on place order button till the order confirmation screen appears.

For this I have done following points already.

    1. Do conflict test of every plugin one by one.
    2. Changed theme from hello elementor to Twenty Twenty-Four
    3. Upgraded the server to VPS with high resources and only 1 project.
    4. Optimize database
    5. Update all plugins to latest version

But still the issue is there. On recommendation of a support person I have created this ticket as well. And also added the URL to other ticket at the top.

This delay is really a big issue for our customers. Our website is using cache plugin and on google page speed our score is above 90. Still the checkout delay is there.

Can you please help me to resolve this issue?

    Hi there @dev1122,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I can see you’ve already had an ongoing thread here, where my colleagues have shared different troubleshooting steps, but the issue seems to persist.

In that case, we’d love to investigate this issue further, please contact us at Woo.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to that other forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We’ll be able to assist you further there.

    Hi @ckadenge,

Just to confirm I have already contacted there on Woo Support as I have an account and I have done alot of purchases for different plugins there as well. I have been using this platform for a very long time.

But when I contact there they suggested me along with that to create a ticket on this forum as well. Situation is everyone knows issue is there but there is nothing that can say ok this is how it will be fixed. Or who will be fixing this.

So, please understand the complexity here and can you at least try to get some resolve for this issue? That would be really great.

    Hey @dev1122 ,

    [Server] => cloudflare

I’ve checked the Square logs on the previous thread, and the logs show Cloudflare headers (CF-Ray, CF-Cache-Status), meaning that the request is being routed through Cloudflare. If there are any slowdowns with Cloudflare, this could also add latency to the requests.

Can you check your Cloudflare firewall settings for any rules that might block or challenge legitimate traffic?

Also, can you read through this support documentation on troubleshooting a slow site and see if anything helps resolve the issue:?https://woo.com/document/troubleshooting-a-slow-site/

Please let us know how this goes!

    Hi @beautyofcode

We have not used any Cloudflare integration in our system. So can you confirm from where this header is coming? We have just installed WP Rocket for cache. Other than that we have a GoDaddy firewall and cache on server end. But there is no Cloudflare integration.

    Hey @dev1122 ,

Thanks for the additional information! If there’s no Cloudflare integration in your system, it’s possible that the Cloudflare headers are originating from GoDaddy’s server infrastructure, as they may use Cloudflare as part of their hosting services.

Are you currently on a Managed WordPress Hosting Plan with GoDaddy? If so, I’ve done some digging and it looks like it includes Cloudflare as part of their CDN service by default. So, even if you haven’t set it up manually, it could still be active.

You can read more about this on GoDaddy, here: Managed WordPress?Help

If you’re not on a GoDaddy Managed WordPress Hosting plan, could you please check with GoDaddy support to see if they have any Cloudflare services integrated into your current hosting plan?

Let us know what you find, and we’ll take it from there!

    Hi @beautyofcode,

Just to confirm this Cloudflare integration is not the issue. I have tried to process without this integration. And main thing I have also tried different server other than GoDaddy and still got the same delay.

When I changed the server and tried to install only WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square plugin to test the checkout flow then still i got same delay. That confirms that Cloudflare integration is not an issue at all in this delay.

    Waiting for you response.

    Hey @dev1122 ,

Thanks for confirming! Since we’ve covered quite a bit of troubleshooting ground here, and the issue has not yet been resolved (or the cause identified), could you please share your ticket number with us here?

I see you’ve mentioned already reaching out internally, and I’d just like to take a closer look at the suggestions and any potential progress that was made there so that we don’t unnecessarily suggest repetitive steps, and prolong resolving this.

    Cheers!

    Hi @dev1122,

I can confirm that your ticket was received, and our Happiness Engineers are in contact with you. Please bear with our intervals in replying to the issue as our internal system uses the first come, first served basis, therefore the slight delay in between.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
