I’ve noticed this for a long time now – and just wanted to point that the out of stock status on the dashboard isn’t working correctly. When you log into WordPress, the dash shows 0 products are out of stock, though if you click on products and run a filter by stock status you can find the 10 products I have out of stock. The order status on the dashboard works just fine…

This occurs on both simple and variable products. Stock status was changed using the “quick edit” option in the Products tab for the specific product.

    Hi there,

I just tried a number of tests to reproduce this locally and wasn’t able to. The dashboard widget always returns the correct number of out-of-stock products for me. That leads me to wonder whether you perhaps have a plugin installed which is affecting stock and inventory?

If you’re confident this is a bug (still occurs with no plugins active) I’d recommend posting a bug report on Github.

It’s still an issue that’s repeatable on a few different installs. If you have a sandbox that it works on, that you can give me access to, I’d love to see if I can demonstrate that it is not working on your installs as well.

@blueg2017 The only discrepancy I can see is that variations are counted as out of stock products, so if two variations under a single product are out of stock, it will show the count of both and not just the single product. Is this what is happening for you?

    Hi,

please, can we reopen this. I get the same behavior. I think the reason why its no not so easily reproducible is because on a product level you need to have “Enable stock management at product level” set to disabled and then the “product status” to out of stock. Then in your Woocommerce -> Report -> Out of stock will show up as empty. Can you guys now reproduce this?

Also, in variable products if one variation is out of stock then the product doesn’t show up when using the “Out of stock” filter in the general product list accessible when clicking on “All Products”. There is definitely something cooking here. Can someone reproduce?

    Any further feedback on this?

I also am noticing this is an issue. I have a plugin that manages my stock levels with quickbooks, most of our products are in stock, however the woocommerce stock level report says most are out of stock, even with the actual number clearly saying that its ‘in stock’ on the very same ‘out of stock’ report page: https://prnt.sc/pra13r
