    Hi,

I try to understand the following. There is the opportunity to schedule the store notice, which makes completely sense.

    e.g. create a banner/store notice and auto-publish/schedule on a specific date.

However, am I right that this is a scheduler for EVERYTHING in the theme customizer?

That would mean, between the actual scheduling and the actual schedule-date I cannot perform any changes in the customizer.

That also means, if any other settings are changed in the customizer, those would also apply on the scheduled date.

Just try to understand it to communicate it correctly to clients, if I recommend the store notice features.

    Thanks a lot

    Markus

I tested this out for you on my test site which is running on a basic setup of the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and the Storefront theme. I was able to make other changes using the Publish option, but that got applied for the store notice as well, i.e. the store notice no longer waited for the scheduled time to arrive, rather it got published right away. Therefore I had to go to the settings again and schedule the store notice afresh.

So the answer to your questions is yes. In the customizer, whichever option you choose – draft/schedule/publish – it will get applied for everything.

    I hope this clarifies!

Thanks again @margaretwporg for clarifying this.

In daily business there are probably not much changes in the customizer, so it shouldn’t matter too much.

Technically and from a logical point of view, I think it’s better to implement the schedule feature separately, as this should definitely not be tied to the overall customization settings.

Anyway, it’s good to know how it works.

    Thank you!
