WooCommerce Subscriptions – Variable Subscription product type

If I understand correctly, you only have “variable subscription” products on your site and you want to sync the products to Google Merchant Center. You see a yellow exclamation point with “No products added – Add and sync products to Google.”

Can you please try to sync the products manually by accessing this page: https://your-domain/wp-admin/admin.php?page=connection-test-admin-page

Then use “Sync all products” button:

Let me know if the products are synced now.

Also, check if there are any error logs in the WooCommerce > Status > Logs page related to “fatal erro” or Google Listing & Ads. If you have any, share those logs with us.

Thank you for the fast response. I tried the Sync All Products button, but it didn’t work.

However, I did check the log file and I have this error:

There exist other accounts with homepage that conflicts with the homepage of account XXXXXX. Set the parameter 'overwrite' to true if you want to take the claim and remove it from these accounts: [email protected]

So it seems the issue is not related to Variable Subscription Products after all. Can you provide instructions on how to resolve this error or should I open a new thread to not confuse the issue for future people?

Thanks for sharing the logs.

Could you confirm that everything runs off the same account, [email protected] being the account email address and that the site has not been added to any other Google Accounts – this would include such options as YouTube, Search Console, AdSense and Google Analytics held in other Google Accounts?

Could you also please attempt to reconnect the Merchant Account, by proceeding with the “Start listing products” option on the Google Listings & Ads page?

It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

I disconnected all accounts so that I could start from scratch at the “Start Listing Products” button. Part of troubleshooting I changed the linked site URL to just domain.com (no www.) and when I performed the setup it recognized this and asked to claim the new URL (with www.) so it appears the claim site error has been resolved.

However, it still says 0 products synced. This time there is no error log file being generated. I tried the “Sync All Products” button from the test page as well. The product feed says “Last updated: June 13, 2022, 11:03 am” as well as “No products added – Add and sync products to Google.”

It seems that variable-subscription products are intentionally hidden from Google Listings, any idea why?

In this file:

There is a filter added to the woocommerce_gla_hidden_product_types hook which adds ‘subscription’ and ‘variable-subscription’ to the list.

Indeed, subscription isn’t currently a supported product type in the Google Listings & Ads extension. I believe this may be due to the limitation of Google Merchant Center with subscription products.

Hopefully, subscriptions will be supported in the future.
