WooCommerce successfully sends to bank, but blocks the bank’s response

I understand that you are having issues while trying to make a purchase from your store which leads to the error message billing postcode/zipcode does not match CC#, correct?

As a first step, can you please confirm what payment gateway are you using here that produces this error message: billing postcode/zipcode does not match CC# for us to point you in the right direction?

Can you please check if there are any patterns to these orders? Like same products, same product type, same categories, same payment gateway, same customer, etc?

For us to investigate your issue further, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

My friend was using his Visa card, and his bank is BECU in Taiwan. This is the only person getting this particular error.

Checking your site’s checkout page, I can verify that you are referring to the WooCommerce Payments plugin here.

I placed an order on your site using my own Mastercard credit card, however, I am unable to reproduce the issue on my end. Please disregard this test order.

Checking your site’s SSR, I am not seeing anything suspicious while the error logs are not related to the issue.

For us to check this further, please provide us a screenshot of the Order Notes.

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Furthermore, please enable Debug Mode under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > WooCommerce Payments > Advanced Settings

Then, if you could replicate the steps your friend did or if you could ask them to repeat the order process again for us to check the error logs that would be generated under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

I can see the reason for cancellation after the initial approval is due to an incorrect zip code provided.

I understand your bank has already mentioned the problem is not on their side, but could you please confirm this by switching to test mode and then attempting to make a test purchase using one of these cards?

Hmmm, this is quite strange. As a first step, can you please ask your friend to try to clear their browser’s cache or try another browser or in incognito mode and see if that works?

“Hold on still trying. I tried forgetting it from my history but the auto fill stuff was still there…Tried deleting cookies etc, restarting my computer to try fresh…So I tried using a Firefox private page and that gave me a “networkerror when attempting to fetch resource””
