Woocommerce super slow back-end
-
I’ve been running a Woocommerce store for quite a few years now. It has always been super slow. Over the years I have moved the site twice to faster host for WordPress sites. My Woocommerce runs the Flatsome theme. The backend seems the most painfully slow. It took be a 1/2 hour yesterday to update 6 listings (simple color attribute) that should have only taken 10 minutes. For years I just assumed that this is how it was supposed to be. This store is a t-shirt store that is separate from my company, like a side business. My main company I had a simple site with a few pages made with a program called Mobirise. I know that Mobirise is armature, but a few years ago, I was lazy, wanted something fast and that was an answer. Fast forward to last month, a customer tried to contact me on my company’s website and it didn’t work. I tried to fix the problem in Mobirise, Mobirise updated and the site was a corrupt mess. So I decided that I had to very quickly fix the problem and needed a CMS. I ended up going with Joomla 4, and I had a beautiful fully functioning website up in a couple of days. Joomla wasn’t the most straight forward CMS, but it cranks!!! It’s so fast and reliable and easy. Back to Woocommerce, it is so painfully slow. I do have a lot of plugins that I need: Sendy Widget Pro, WP-Lister for eBay and Create-it Size Guides that are pretty important to me. Is ther anything that I can do to tremendously speed up Woocommerce? I do have cache plugin, updated php, you name it, I have done it. All images are optimized and I use Riot before uploading images as well.
Thanks for the help!
Jim
