• Can you tell me what does this warning mean?

Heads up! The WooCommerce “Calculate tax based on” setting is not respected by Simple Sales Tax. The customer billing address will only be used for tax calculations when the shipping address is not provided (e.g. for sales of digital goods).

We do not consider the value of the WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Calculate tax based on setting when calculating the tax due during checkout. We always use the customer’s shipping address as the destination address for tax calculation purposes if one is provided.

    Thanks,
    Brett

The Simple Salex Tax worked probably until the last update. Now a customer makes and order and woocommerce does not ask sales tax. However I see at taxcloud.com that the tax has been captured. What’s wrong with that? Thanks.

Yeah client told me that taxes stopped working. Actually that is why I asked this question. I don’t know if this warning has anything to do with it.

I market this as not resolved because it is not resolved. I mean I can create another topic with differently asked question but what would be the point.

Your question has been addressed and as far as I’m concerned this thread is resolved. This is not a new notice and has been in Simple Sales Tax for quite some time. It would also have no impact on tax calculations. If you are having general issues with tax calculations then please open a separate thread with the details of your problem and when it started happening, or reach out to [email protected].
