Hi there, I have upgrade my woocommerce site from 8.4.x to 8.5.x on a few different servers for a few different sites and each time it creases all sorts of 500 and 504 errors and seems super memory intensive. I tried removing all plugin dependencies and also changing the PHp version from 7.4 to PHP 8 and PHP 8.1 and PHP 8.2 and still no joy. This is happening across multiple servers and sites and when I google it seems lots of people having issues with V8.5.x

Any ideas on this? Is there a fix or is the advice to just stay on V8.4 until a proper set of testing is done on V8.5.x thanks?

  • Disable WooCommerce plugin –> upload 8.4.0 contents and overwrite existing 8.5.2 –> start WooCommerce plugin

Will this do the trick then or do I have to change something additionally? ??

Probably yes, but I haven’t tested it yet ??

I’d say delete the 8.5.x -> Restart your server -> refresh WP plugin page so you know the plugin is disabled or does not exist -> Then upload the 8.4.x plugin -> Enable plugin

    Thanks!

I went with the plugin upload method though. Luckily I can confirm the orders can be opened again now, will keep monitoring the system, but so far it seems that 8.4.0 is fine, indeed!

Hi Sandip! Ticket #7663147 created in Woo.

After further examination I realized that woo opens many mysqli connections (151 is the cap!) thats why it slows down everything

Hey, @bladeke! Thank you for creating the ticket. We will follow up there.

Hey, @tpapazoglou! Thanks for the input. Were you able to create the ticket? We would be happy to continue to investigate this and help you there.

    Have a wonderful day!

Well I can’t add a ticket because it asks to connect a Store.
My WC plugin is disabled in my website, otherwise it crashes the server

Does it crash the site even if you use an older version of Woo?

You can find older versions to download here.

If you prefer, you can also use a plugin such as WP Rollback to help you with this process. You can find the plugin here.

If you are able to use an older version for now, you should be able to open the ticket ??

Please let us know if you need further help.

    Hi! Has this been fixed?
