Woocommerce Variations, so complicated

Woocommerce variations are horribly over complicated. I have to be missing something as its almost unusable. I’m coming from opencart where you just have to list each option individually once vs woocommerce I have to list every possible option and outcome of each, which could be thousands if you have a lot of variations.

Is there an extension out there that dumbs this down? I have items with 50 different frame colors, 50 different fabric colors, including sizes and etc.

It would take me a year to set this up on each and every one of our thousands of products. Is woocommerce not really made for larger shops with lots of configurations?

For example in opencart you dont have to make every possible variation like you do in woocommerce.

Opencart:
Color: Yellow, Green, blue
Size: small, medium, large

Woocommerce
Yellow, small
Yellow medium
yellow large
green small
green medium
green large
blue small
blue medium
blue large
