Hi! I updated to WooCommerce version 5.8, but it results in a critical error. The update breaks my site.
It seems that my site is unable to locate the WooCommerce file after updating.
I then downgraded it to the old version and my site is back.
Anyone is experiencing the same issue?

  • Yes, I have the same problem …. but I wonder if it conflicts with one plugin. When I turned it off, the woocommerce update is stable. But it doesn’t solve the problem. However, many users had this problem after installing version 5.8

Sounds like a conflict, perhaps a plugin is incompatible with this version. You can check your debugging log for more information.

    Hi @isaaccheung and @ufonaut,

As @phillsav recommended, run a full conflict test to figure out if the theme or plugin on your site is causing that behavior. Proceed as follows:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Check if all is working fine and there are no errors

If you’re not seeing errors after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated.

Reactivate the theme first and check again. Then, go on and reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    Thanks!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
