WooCommerce Vimeo video thumbnail with a video/play icon?

We use vimeo with WooCommerce to display vimeo videos in the single product image gallery and it works great. A thumbnail representing the vimeo video is displayed in the image gallery.

However, this thumbnail looks like an image – would be great if the image had a “play icon” overlaid on it to indicate that it is a video rather than an image.

If this is too much effort, would you consider adding a class name to the <img> tag and/or the enclosing <li> tag?… then I could use JavaScript or CSS to overlay a play icon on the vimeo thumbnail.
