Woocommerce won’t allow variable product

    Hello

    I keep encountering this issue and I’ve seen it addressed here before, but there was never an answer to it. So I have trouble with some products where the “product data – simple product” drop down menu is greyed out and unresponsive. For example right now I want to translate an already-existing product into english. The ‘product data’ on the french side works perfectly, I can drop-down and select ‘variable product’. But on the new side, that is greyed out.

    There have been no new plugins installed in the past month and there’s no new update for Woocommerce right now. This issue has been driving me crazy. How can I solve it?

    Hi there,

    Can you share a bit more on what you mean by ” on the new side”? I’m asking as the core WooCommerce plugin only supports a single language with a single dropdown? Also, can you share screenshots as well as a copy of your status report found under **WooCommerce > Status**?

    By the new side I mean the english translated product.

    Basically it creates the ‘other side of the coin’ page (so that on the site people can choose which language to have the product in) where I change the text, but the original set-up is there (the banner images, the slugs and product descriptions, etc). So by this logic, the variable products should be there, too, because it basically duplicates\copies the original page, but the menu locks down or something and appears like this:

    Can this issue be solved without the help of coding? Because I’m not that tech-savy.

    Just an update: the problem persists, and on a freshly made product page. It worked the first time I published the page, the products showed on the site, but then I realized that I didn’t add a ‘product image’ and when I did, it greyed out the variable product menu which shouldn’t have anything to do with the menu. And deleting the product image does nothing to bring back the variable product menu.

    Hi,

    Is there a solution?
    Certain pages I haven’t touched in months are showing me the greyed out simple product/variable product menu and I need to change the product prices on those pages. I’d really appreciate it if there was something I could do to unblock or prevent whatever this is from blocking me from accessing the variable products.

    Update.

    It seems that deactivating plugin Hyyan WooCommerce Polylang Integration solved the issue.
