    Hello,

I’m creating a new website for a client who’s using SumUp for payment method. I took the credentials submitted by SumUp and added them to WooCommerce but I keep getting the message error “Provided credentials are incorrect.” In the log, what I have is:

    “2023-07-26T07:45:57+00:00 ERROR ====SumUp Version: 1.2==== Client ID: 78o40gk56559b47t8hxxxx ====Start Log==== Error: (ClientID: “78o40gk56559b47t8xxxx”) Client error ====End Log====

Since their plugin is not tested with the latest version of WordPress, I rolled-back to 6.1.3 so that it can’t be said it’s a compatibility thing. WooCommerce is at the latest version available.

I think the log is pretty clear and told them about it but they insisted I have to ask for WooCommerce support so here I am. Is there anything you can do to help?

    Thank you!

    Hi @gnwysiwyg ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the SumUp plugin developers have directed you to WooCommerce support for help with this, however, kindly note that this forum is dedicated to support related to the WooCommerce core plugin, and support for third-party plugins/themes is outside ?our scope of support.

From the error message you’ve received, it seems the issue lies with the SumUp credentials. Even though you’ve entered the credentials provided by SumUp into WooCommerce, the system is not able to authenticate them.

This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as an incorrect Client ID, an error with the SumUp API, or an issue with the SumUp plugin itself.

I’d suggest reaching out to the SumUp plugin developers again, as they would be in a better position to help you with this.

Here is a direct link to their dedicated forum:

    Hope this helps!

    Hello Roxy,

Thank you so much for your answer and for taking the time to answer me. I very appreciate it. I kind of suspected SumUp had to resolve it but since they didn’t want to act unless we ask for support here; I had to. Thank you for confirming it’s at their end and not yours ??

Have a very nice week and thanks again!

    Hi @gnwysiwyg ,

Totally understand, and happy to help!

Since further support is required from the SumUp plugin developers, I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved.

On the other hand, if you need any help with WooCommerce core, feel free to create a new topic.

Also, if you have a few minutes, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
