my problem is basically that I cannot access the resources of the api rest, even though I am sure that the keys are correct.

the user still exists and have read/write permissions.

the permalink structure is set to “name of the post”. permalinks settings are set in “pretty” but for the time being I will not use custom endpoints.

in fact, the installation of wordpress and woocommerce is recent, it has nothing more than a plugin that tells me what roles each user has and evidently the only user that exists has the role of administrator who can “manage_woocommerce”.

I’m a bit surprised by the problem, it has already happened to me on other two sites. something is missing but I don’t know what it is.

Is there any specific error you are encountering? If so, could you share it with us, and the steps you did prior to encountering it, please?

We would also like to ask for the following:
- System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

Hi @aguinaldodarla thanks for your response, I haven’t seen any specific errors other than the 401 authentication error. WooCommerce itself works perfectly; it’s only when I try to use the REST API that I encounter issues. i attached the status report:

the steps I followed since I installed wordpress until I ran into the problem were

-fresh installation of wordpress
-database configuration
-site and user information

-installation of woocommerce plugin
-configuration of woocommerce as an e-commerce store
-configuration of the keys to enable the REST API in the “settings” -> Advanced -> API REST -> Add key -> Generate API key
Description: API
User: main
Permissions: read/write

I would also like to mention that I have seen the following topics, and none of them have worked for me.

Seems like you’ve been on the hunt for a solution. :?)

If you’ve tried all the solutions in the attached thread and none worked, then the problem might be related to the server.

I noticed that you don’t have SUHOSIN, which is a security module for PHP. It might be worth asking your hosting provider to install it.

If that doesn’t solve the issue, consider copying your site to another host to see if the problem is indeed related to the server.
