    Hello all!

I have a question. I’m demoing and bug fixing a store at wear.gozachattack.com before deploying it for a client. I decided to use WooCommerce for carting and ordering functions, it’s a very intuitive system and I like it’s functions. If you use their themes, it’s 100% compatible. And even compatible with some other third party themes (the definition of compatibility is up for debate though).

I have a sidebar widget with text that belongs on the shop page. I don’t want it on any other page. I have tried using Dynamic Widgets, Display Widgets (www.ads-software.com hosted plugins) as well as conditional tagging, and each time I try either one, the widget just disappears completely. when I erase the settings, it appears on every page that’s sidebar enabled. When I switch the theme to “Twenty Thirteen” or another wordpress all-compatible theme, these hiding and showing functions work on the widgets, so I know it’s a theme issue and not a plugin argument issue. I can’t just disable the sidebar on the pages I don’t want this one on because I want other widgets there. I disabled them in light of looking for support.

I’ve spent two hours looking, deploying and testing other themes. I like the looks and functions of Wootique the best. Any ideas on how I can get around this one little bug?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance!

Have you asked WooThemes about this? These forums only support themes from here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/

so they’d be the best ones to ask. Or you could consider using another compatible theme – such as

    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/storefront/

BTW, did you notice that Wootique hasn’t been updated for 4 years! That’s probably not a great theme to be using if they aren’t keeping it updated?

I didn’t want to ask WooThemes because other commercial product questions have been answered here and I felt that the people around this forum are probably much more intelligent than the folks behind WooThemes.

2011 was the release date of Wootique, that might not have been the last update, but I see your point.

I downloaded and installed Storefront (of which I actually like better for functionality and design), and I have the same issue. No new plugins, just a new theme activated. Any ideas?

With Storefront, I’d suggest asking the developer here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/storefront#postform

He’s pretty responsive to questions there.

Nevermind, I got it to work using Dynamic Widgets in addition to the Storefront theme. I guess it was a theme issue. Thanks!
