    Hello,

    Thanks for this wonderful plugin.
    I’m just testing and can’t get it to reach the word limit.
    I need rather long excerpts and defined word limit to 120 but I’m only getting something like 50 words.

    Is this limit depending from original site?

    Content Cards gets the excerpt data from OpenGraph tags on the original site. We do not control word count – the original site does. Also, there is a limit of 300 characters that Facebook uses to display OpenGraph data (110 characters in comment links).

    Thanks for this, I understand.
    But in that case I really wonder for what purpose are you offering a word count limit in your plugin’s settings?

    That setting allows you to further shorten the excerpt if you need that. Some sites do not respect the Facebook’s 300 characters limit, so you can get inconsistent results with different sites. For example you can have short excerpt for one site, and a long one for another. This setting allows our users to have more consistent display across all sites they embed.
