Word press shoots itself in a foot

Recommended hosts page:
https://www.ads-software.com/hosting
Leeds nowhere but to disappointments.
Recommended are hosts with MINIMUM-meet requirements.
My story:
We built a website on WP. Happy. Looks nice. Adding plugins and pages, we start getting warnings from the hoster.I went to WP suggested hosts page and sighed-up with Dreamhost.
Now, instead of warnings, I constant 500 and 401 errors.
How come? They are Recommended?
Than on the same page I have found something like “many hosters who meet minimum requirements” and below the list.
My today’s situation. My colleagues, who are not engineers, saying this page of recommended hosters, not working website simply suggest to move to another CMS.
I believe, I not the only one in such situation.
Surely, WP does not want to show, the hosting can be expensive if the bog is growing, but this is a reality. My friends, not knowing, there is a proportion between number of plugins, pages and users and the amount of memory needed, simply blame everything on “bad plugins, bad themes, and bad careless community of plugin-writers.
In Recommended Hosting Page I would suggest clear definition:
1. Simple blog, not much traffic – certain list of cheep shared hosting providers: (what you have now)
2. Advanced blog, dosen of plugins, 1,000 visitors or so – advanced hosting, more expensive planes, but certain PHP memory guaranteed per domain. (still looking for such myself.
3. Very big blog – VPS or dedicated hosting providers.
For now my associates are positive, WP can not handle complicated architecture and traffic and they insist to go to (at least) OpenPublish where modules (as they say) are not conflicting, or to paid platform.
Any thoughts?
