• I just went on my wordpress website to make some changes and saw that the Word Press version needed to be upgraded, I choose to do that and it took me to a white screen with this error message on it.

Fatal error: Call to a member function reset_postdata() on a non-object in /home2/fcb/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 118

I can get into the website https://www.forestcitybaptist.org okay but I cannot get in the the admin for WordPress without getting the above error message.

Please help, I have no idea how to resolve this issue.

    Gordon

It looks like I can get into the site (not admin) by typing in forestcitybaptist.org but if I and the https://www it takes me to the error message mentioned.

OOPS It is even worse, if I go the site forestcitybaptist.org it comes up but all of my menu links and links to outside websites all end up with the error message

Fatal error: Call to a member function reset_postdata() on a non-object in /home2/fcb/public_html/wp-includes/query.php on line 118

    I NEED HELP!

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
