  • Hello

I’ve just install wordfence free on a new website and it’s impossible to complete installation due to error with server :

    Error Installing License
We received an error while trying to activate the license with the Wordfence servers: There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: noc1.wordfence.com

Perhaps it’s the same issue ?

    Please help us

    thanks

    Hi @helenahandstanger,

Unless there’s a conflict that stops you from continuing, it sounds like you may just need to claim your license. If you’re ever unsure how to proceed when installing and registering the plugin, I would recommend consulting our video guide that runs you through step-by-step and common troubleshooting tips at:?https://www.wordfence.com/help/api-key/#installing-your-free-license-key

Let us know if the installation remains incomplete after installing the plugin as advised there.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

PS: It doesn’t sound like the same issue and looks like your site is blocking communication to our servers, possibly with another firewall. To ensure the topic doesn’t get difficult to follow, please start up a new topic pasting in the above information, sending us a diagnostic, and we’ll be able to look into it. You can send a diagnostic to?wftest @ wordfence . com?directly from the link at the top of the?Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics?page. Then click on?“Send Report by Email”.?Please add your forum username where indicated and?respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email
