Wordfence and FTP

    Hello! Unfortunately due to an PHP conflict with one of my plugins I can’t currently access my website. I’m trying to FTP to it so I can disable any dodgy plugins but due to having WordFence on my website, the 2 factor authentication is stopping me. Any ideas if it’s possible to by-pass this somehow??

    Hi @sheltorx, thanks for your question.

    Wordfence’s 2FA only prompts in a browser when visiting the default WordPress or WooCommerce login page. It wouldn’t stand in the way of your host’s control panel (file manager) or FTP access as PHP needs to be running on your site for Wordfence to run.

    You may have additional security measures required by your host to access the filesystem of your site via FTP, which they may be able to assist you with if you’re running into problems.
