    1. When Wordfence blocks a login attempt due to ?Wordfence Security Network, do I need to go ahead and also “Block IP” ??
    2. If I manually block an IP that was NOT blocked by the Security Network, what gets checked first on a login attempt? Does it look at my manually “blocked ip” list first to determine if it should be blocked or does it always check the Wordfence Security Network first, even if I had already blocked the IP ?

  • Hi @pattycake22

    Thanks for reaching out!

I would be happy to answer your questions!

When an IP is blocked by the Wordfence Security Network, they will permanently blocked until we deem the IP is no longer malicious (such as it no longer belonging to the original user)

You are free to block these IP’s permanently, although you could eventually end up blocking a legitimate user in the future, so its not recommended.

Regarding your other question, your manual blocks will run first, and then the Wordfence Security Network.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks,

    Joshua
